Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
The Short Version
I respect your privacy and I'm transparent about what data I collect. I use analytics to improve the site, I collect form data to respond to your enquiries, and I never sell your data to anyone. Here are the details.
What Data I Collect
Analytics (PostHog)
When you accept cookies, I use PostHog to understand how visitors use this site. This includes page views, clicks, scroll depth, and general interaction patterns. PostHog uses cookies to track sessions. No personal data is collected unless you submit a form.
Session Recordings
With your consent, PostHog may record your browsing session to help me understand how visitors navigate the site. Sensitive form field values (like budget ranges and URLs) are masked in recordings. Sessions are retained for 30 days.
Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, your name, company, URL, marketing challenge, and optional budget range are sent to me via Formspree. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide the visibility snapshot you requested.
Cookies
This site uses a cookie consent banner. Here's how it works:
- • Accept: PostHog analytics and session recording cookies are enabled. A localStorage key (
analytics_consent) stores your preference. - • Reject: No analytics cookies are set. PostHog does not load. Your preference is stored locally.
- • Change your mind: Clear your browser's localStorage or cookies for this site, and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.
Consent preferences expire after 1 year, at which point you'll be prompted again.
How Your Data Is Used
- • To respond to your enquiry and provide marketing services
- • To understand how the site is used and improve it
- • To identify usability issues through session recordings
I do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Data Retention
- • Analytics data: Retained by PostHog for up to 12 months
- • Session recordings: Retained for 30 days
- • Form submissions: Retained for as long as needed to serve you
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you're in the EU/UK, you have the right to:
- • Access — Request a copy of the data I hold about you
- • Rectification — Ask me to correct inaccurate data
- • Erasure — Ask me to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- • Restriction — Ask me to limit how I process your data
- • Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
- • Object — Object to data processing based on legitimate interests
To exercise any of these rights, email me at jodie@jodieplant.com. I'll respond within 30 days.
